Freedom Tours Wageningen is a co-created guided walking tour initiative inspired by the success of projects like Migrantour Utrecht and the self-guided Wageningen Decolonial Tour. How can you support our initiative?

Our goal is to build on Wageningen’s rich and multifaceted heritage by exploring the complexities of freedom—past, present, and future. To achieve this, we are actively seeking partnerships with local organizations and community members who share our passion for creating inclusive and engaging narratives.

You can support our initiative by:

• Taking the tour with your friends, organizations, colleagues and students;

• Recruiting people in your network to participate in the co-creation of the tour, or participate yourself! We will co-create a new tour on a different theme in Spring 2026 - sign up for the newsletter for updates;

• Sharing your knowledge and skills (for example, about local initiatives and heritages, storytelling or tour guiding);

• Offering baseline support (for example, promotion, venues for tour co-creation and guide training, funding and other resources in kind).
